The Process

This effort is an open until filled recruitment. The first screening will occur May 19th, 2006. GEL Oregon, Inc. will screen resumes against the position profile developed for the Madras Aquatic Center Special District and will develop a ranking of candidates.  The ranking will be based on the candidate's qualifications and how those qualifications match the position profile. GEL may conduct follow-up telephone interviews with candidates to seek clarification of information provided or to gain additional understanding. Candidates matching the position profile may be asked for additional information. Screening will be conducted on a regular basis. As soon as a reasonable pool of candidates that match the position profile exists interviews will be scheduled. Interviews will include the Board of Directors and GEL Oregon, Inc.

After conducting interviews, the Board will determine whether to make an employment offer or to interview other candidates. GEL will continue to receive applications until a final selection and appointment is made. Candidates applying after interviews have begun will be screened by the same criteria and added accordingly to the ranking list. These candidates may be scheduled for interview if no appointment has been made. No employment offer is final until background checks have been completed. GEL will conduct background checks for the candidate selected by the Board. Background checks will include telephone interviews with provided references and others, review of management history via documents and news articles, and possible on-site interviews with references and others. GEL will also conduct criminal and credit background checks.
